New Peers for 2015

Two new peers were added just before Christmas. Packet Clearing House installed a gTLD DNS server that serves up over 300 Top Level Domains. Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey serves almost 40 First Nations education and health centres in Atlantic Canada from their hub in Membertou near Sydney.

They join St Francis Xavier University and the Nova Scotia Department of Education as new additions for the year.

HFXIX Goes Live, May 1, 2015

HFXIX went live on May 1, 2015, after moving to its new home at the Hibernia Networks co-lo location in Halifax. The initial peer networks were CANARIE, CIRA, and Cape Breton University.
